Would you believe me if I said Dark Thorn Clothing's studio is in the middle of a paddock? 

Yep, it's in the middle of a paddock on my families property in country South Australia. I work from a completed shed (let's be honest sometimes I never leave my bedroom when doing emails and social media..) which was once a games room when I was younger, then one of my brothers bedrooms, then my dad had it shortly as his man cave until I stole it and turned it into my studio (sorry dad).

My mother and I share this room, well it's more 80% me and 20% her. She loves patch work and making quilts. She use to make kids clothing when all us kids were younger and sell them at markets and to locals. She makes the most beautiful detailed kids clothing. Now you can see where I get my sewing/designing/creativity from. 

One day I will take photos of this space for you all to see exactly where Dark Thorn Clothing is worked from but currently I'm still trying to find beautiful furniture to fill the space on the smallest budget I have. I do show a tiny space in my work room within some of the raw mannequin photos I post on Instagram and just recently started sharing across to Facebook.

It is the most peaceful experience working from a studio where you can look out the window and see fields of green in the winter and yellow in the summer, listen to the birds chirping and the trees blowing in the wind. I am a nature loving girl and I'm not sure how I would cope if one day I had to move my studio to the big smoke..
